(5 november 2007) - Google announced a new open platform for mobile devices based on Linux and Java. The name of the project is Android (watch the gphone video). This free operating software for cell phone is developed with Open Handset Alliance that is a consortium of over 30 technology and mobile companies like Nokia, Motorola, T-mobile. Gphones will be ready in the first part of 2008.
